I would ask for your support during the 2024 Election on Nov 5th. I believe School Boards are not purposed as an avenue to promote personal political agendas. They serve as an oversight and partnership to our Superintendent and teachers/staff to provide the best education for our community. I work and have close friendships with many teachers and coaches, and they truly want what is best for your kid.

My name is Matt Brewer, and I have been a resident of District 145 for over 15 years. My wife, Megan, is a 5th-grade teacher at the Waverly Intermediate School. I have 4 kids, that are active or participated in school/sports in the Waverly School District. Tyler, 19, freshman at U of Kansas, who participated in football, soccer, wrestling, basketball, and baseball growing up in Waverly. Taylor, 16, sophomore who participates in softball and helps manage track and wrestling. Cash, 13, is a 7th grader who enjoys football and wrestling and has participated in basketball. Grahm, 8, 2nd grader, who enjoys any sport that is in season.

 

I currently coach Varsity and JV football at the high school and will be starting my 10th season on the sideline. During that time, I have started the Waverly/Eagle Jr Vikings Youth Football Program and the Waverly/Eagle Youth Track Program and currently organize the Waverly Ribfest, which provides additional funding for football, volleyball, Striv Network, Athletic Training, and the Weight Program at the high school.
